Let’s break it down. You might find yourself saying, "I don’t know my purpose." It's a common sentiment, but the solution is simpler than you think—just start doing something! Take a look at what's in your hands, your capabilities, your training, your passions. What can you do that brings glory to God and benefits others?
Moises used a staff to bring glory to God. Samson used a jawbone. Elijah used a cloak. David used a slingshot with 5 stones. Nehemiah used hammers and nails. Luke wrote a couple books. Paul used his education. So, the question for you remains: What can you use to bring glory to God? Whether it's your hands, your mind, or your unique capabilities, surely there is something you can offer.
If you're sitting around waiting for a divine revelation to drop from the heavens, you might be in for a longgggggggggg wait. God doesn’t typically operate in idle mode. He moves through those who are already in motion, actively seeking to live out their faith and trying to bring glory to Jesus Christ and make a difference in the world.
So, my friend, it's time to get up and get moving. Your purpose isn't found in passive waiting; it's discovered through active obedience. God has a plan for you, but you won’t find it by sitting still.
Take that first step, no matter how small it may seem. Whether it’s volunteering through your church to help neighbors, volunteering at your local shelter, or actively passing out gospel tracts to win the lost to Christ, every action you take can be a step towards fulfilling your purpose.
When we actively do something with our life, it is in this process of serving and ministering that we gradually discover other gifts we have from God. It is in ministry that we gain understanding, and our purpose begins to naturally come to life before our very eyes, but only in the process of doing so!
As we step out in faith and engage with the needs of those around us, we discover hidden talents, strengths, and passions that we may have never realized were there. It’s through these experiences of serving others that our purpose becomes clearer, as God unveils His plan for our lives piece by piece. So, don't be afraid to roll up your sleeves and dive into the work of ministry, for it is in the act of serving that we truly find ourselves and our place in God's grand design.
Remember, you are here for a reason, and God wants to use you to bring glory to Jesus Christ, win others to Christ, and strengthen the lives of those around you. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s go out there and make a difference, one step at a time!
