That is how I felt when I met Dieubenson Louis.
Over these past two years, I have had the privilege of getting to know Dieubenson and his family through ministry and humanitarian work in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. During this time, I have been consistently impressed by his compassion for others, his strong character, and his tireless willingness to work, serve, and minister to those around him.
Born in Haiti and now living in the Dominican Republic, Dieubenson has overcome challenges that many young people in the United States can scarcely imagine. He has navigated difficulties that often accompany displacement, economic hardship, and limited opportunities, yet through it all, he has remained steadfast in his education, his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and his vision for the future. He speaks Creole, Spanish, and English fluently, demonstrates maturity beyond his years, and consistently looks for ways to serve those around him.
Today, an exciting opportunity stands before him.
