I’ve finally made it back to El Salvador—and I can’t help but smile as I write these words from my new rented home, peacefully nestled at the edge of the city where it meets the jungle. A mile and a half from the church, God has provided me with a clean, spacious two-bedroom house—an answered prayer I never could have arranged on my own. A man in the U.S., whom I’ve never met, heard about my needs and connected his relatives with me here. God moved their hearts to offer me this home at a very gracious price. Just like that, God made a way. Now, I have a space to host Bible studies, welcome guests, and share meals with the precious people He brings into my life. The extra bedroom is perfect for friends and supporters from America who may want to fly down for short mission trips.
Reflecting on God’s faithfulness, I recall how, in 2007, I was living the so-called American dream—with a home in California, a new car, and all the comforts and luxuries I thought I needed. But just a year later, I was homeless, sleeping in my car and squatting in empty houses. That difficult season stripped me of what I thought was security—but it’s where I first learned to truly trust God. He didn’t fail me then, and He hasn’t failed me since.
In 2013, God led me, unexpectedly, into years of missionary work with orphans and abused children worldwide. Then, in 2021, God moved me to El Salvador to minister to young people caught in Satan’s grip of the MS-13 and Calle 18 gangs. By June, 2023, my season in El Salvador had come to a pause—but God continued to move. Over the next 18 months, He enabled me to serve alongside churches in some of the toughest parts of Mexico, Central America, and Colombia. Today, I’m joyfully back in El Salvador with a modest monthly support—but I rest well at night. Why? Because I know the One who keeps me. He has been faithful every step of the way, and I’ve learned that when I walk humbly in His presence, cling to His Word, He always provides where He guides.

This ministry is not without its dangers—but even in the most frightening moments, God’s hand is on me. I must pause to give Jesus praise for protecting me from what could have been a tragic accident. On June 4th, while walking beneath a major intersection of bridges where some of the homeless live, I misjudged the direction of traffic due to the confusing twisting lanes. A motorcyclist flew past me—missing by just an inch. As I jumped out of the way, I saw a car speeding toward me. I leaped again and barely made it to the other side, collapsing on the sidewalk in profound gratitude and praising God for sparing my life without a scratch. The Lord is so good—and I can’t express the depth of gratitude I feel to be here still serving Him.
Please continue to pray for my safety as I enter these challenging areas—your prayers truly make a difference. Ask the Lord to break the chains holding so many captives and to bring lasting transformation to their lives. May they experience the lasting freedom only Christ can give.
I’ll be sharing more about this outreach in a new article titled What’s in Your Hand? at www.MissionFrontier.info/blog, scheduled to post on June 19, 2025. I invite you to take a few moments to read it—I believe it will encourage and inspire you.
If you follow me on Facebook or check the “Updates” page on the ministry’s website, you’ve likely seen my new short video updates. Many of you asked for these, and I hope that—even from afar—your heart can stay close through them.
Before I close, I want to share something a bit heavier. While I have peace knowing I’m exactly where God wants me, the reality is that things in Latin America remain fragile. As the world becomes increasingly unstable, arrests sometimes occur without just cause. If you ever hear that I’ve been taken into custody, please know this: by God’s grace, my heart will be set on embracing the opportunity of prison ministry. I will preach Christ and love those around me, trusting God to redeem even the darkest situation.
We live in perilous times, and as the return of our Lord draws near, turmoil and injustice—often disguised as progress or even compassion—will only increase. But we need not fear—let’s stay focused on Jesus Christ. In a world full of noise and confusion, I’m grateful that we serve a God who never lies. Thank you for standing with me and trusting in the work He’s doing through this ministry. My heart remains steadfast—to see Jesus exalted and lives transformed for His glory.
Thank you for standing with me in prayer and support. Together, we are co-laborers with Christ Jesus, shining His light in this world.
