Hola! I have made it back to Latin America after an eventful time in the United States. I had the privilege of visiting several churches to openly tell my life story, which is all shared in my book "Confessions." It was truly a joy to reconnect with friends and make some new ones. Thank you!

Meeting an older woman at one of the churches was a special moment for me. Her incredible life story has left a lasting impression that I shall never forget. Later in the week, I got to visit her home. She shared her struggles with not feeling near to God as many Christians describe. I explained that our relationship with Christ is based on confidence and assurance, not feelings. We discussed passages from 1 John 4, Revelation 3:20, and John 1:12. As she read these verses, her face literally lit up with understanding. Before I could say anything else, she exclaimed, "I know my problem! I've never asked Jesus to come live inside me." The excitement in the room was wonderful, and quickly lead us into a time of prayer. Praise the Lord for the saving work of God!
While visiting my family in Ohio, I had the opportunity to reconnect with an 18-year-old boy I met last summer. He and his girlfriend are facing challenges that are common to so many young people today. Many people believe the government can solve our problems, but I find this view misguided; I firmly believe that by getting involved in the lives around us, we can help resolve some of these complex issues. Because of this conviction, I happily spent time with him, getting reacquainted, exploring the Bible together, and having fun at metro parks. Although my ability to help was limited since I don't live in Ohio, I pray that my efforts will remind both of them how much the Lord Jesus Christ loves them. Please keep them in your prayers.
I had another unique experience that demonstrates the seriousness of our times. The owner of a magazine learned about my new memoir and reached out to me. She was very intrigued by my work with youngsters ensnared by gangs, addictions, sex trafficking, etc. After an hour on the phone, she invited me to write two articles for her magazine over the next year. However, our delightful conversation took an unexpected turn when somehow we began talking about homosexuality and transgenderism. I shared my biblical view that people do not have to live a gay lifestyle or pretend to be another gender; instead, they can find fulfillment as a single person in love with the Man Jesus Christ. She didn't take this well, and her tone shifted quickly as she pressed for philosophical reasoning. I explained God's will in His Holy Bible and shared more of my testimony. Suddenly, the call ended abruptly. Although I doubt the invitation to write for a published magazine isn't there any longer, I am at peace that God is the One who opens doors no man can shut and shuts doors no man can open. I hope this testimony encourages you to stay rooted in Bible truth and not be swayed by worldly philosophies, even if you ever feel pressured to change.

So many Christians are silently suffering and feel uncomfortable discussing taboo issues that often are swept under the rug.
