The following poem is one I wrote to exalt praise to God. It is inspired from 1 Chronicles 29:11: “Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.”
Praise Belongs Unto God
When I hear the name GOD
My mind is filled with magnificence
Praise befits His name, forever exalted.
Praise be to God, the Almighty One everlasting,
Emmanuel; God with us
The Alpha and Omega, beginning and end,
Oh what greatness and power and glory
And victory and majesty belong to God.
God, who is like unto Him?
Praise belongs unto God.
I extol and lift my life in adoration
Praise belongs unto God.
For all that is in Heaven is His
And all that is in the earth and below is God’s
His is the kingdom, the glory and the honor
And God is exalted as head above all.
His thoughts are unsearchable
And His ways past finding out.
Praise belongs unto God.
