The state of Ohio reports that over 14,000 children do not have kinship to live with and are in need of a loving, caring family. But why should this matter to you and me? Because these children are humans with a heart, feelings, emotions, and passions just as you and me! These children are real individuals who need someone to hear them, and give them guidance, care, love, and a family to call home.
All children need a family. But a family is more than just a father, mother, and kids living together. A family is a safe haven where children can experience the love of God and may discover and establish their purpose in life. I believe that all children were created for a certain purpose. Nobody is here by accident. In fact, I believe that each child was created to solve a specific problem. Sadly, too many children are forgotten about and ignored, and do not have a family, life coach, or mentor to help them along the way.
Have you ever asked youngsters about the dreams they have for their lives? You hear all sorts a wonderful aspirations. You never hear one respond, "I want to be a crackhead when I grow up." Yet every time I talk to someone whose life is being snuffed out by the consuming addiction to a chemical, I can't help but wonder how he ended up robbed of his dream and having his life waste away.
Could it be that he never had a friend, mentor, or life coach to instill into him that he can blossom into something beyond his grandest dreams? I think so!
This is why I am starting the "Heritage Boy's Home" in Central Ohio. I can't save all children, but I want to be a little part of the solution! By God's grace with the help of my community (YOU), I have been working on establishing a home for boys who need a family. This home will not be an institution. It will be a family where boys will be given devote attention to experience the love of Christ's compassion through consistent stability, structure, and routine to help them develop life's essentials to become all God has purposed them to be in life.
I will be living at the home and giving my personal life to children each and every day. The home will be blessed to have older widows living with us to be part of the family; they offer so much wisdom, stability, knowledge, and discipline that boys desperately need.
Over the last several months I have been taking licensing classes for the state of Ohio through the Bair Foundation. All boys living in the home will also be given individual case management provided through the Bair Foundation and the state of Ohio for a myriad of needs and challenges.
Today I am in the process of buying a residence for the boys to finally call a place home! I am need of furniture, household items, and many other essentials. I am in need of raising a minimum of $5,000 within the next couple of months. Would you please consider giving a financial donation to this mission? Your money is an investment that shall touch many lives for years to come!
Once the "Heritage Boy's Home" is established, you will be welcome to come stop by for a visit anytime. We want the boys to meet and know that there is a community out there who truly loves, prays, and hopes the best for them!
