Since the launch of my new book, ‘Confessions: A Memoir of Hope for the Suffering,’ I’ve been profoundly touched by the numerous individuals who have reached out to express gratitude for the openness in sharing my life story. What's truly moving is the courage of those who have shared with me their own stories of suffering and triumph, often kept hidden from the world. Their willingness to open up has encouraged me deeply. Despite my own lingering insecurities, Christ brings messages of inspiration like these that lift my spirit. To everyone, I say THANK YOU.

It’s been a little over two months since I made it back to Mexico, and my time here has been wonderfully enriched by the ministry work. This experience has offered profound personal insights. Through various personalities and situations, God has worked to deepen my understanding of FAITH. While countless sermons and books attempt to teach on faith, I’ve come to realize that God Himself is the ultimate teacher. Once again, God has orchestrated my life’s circumstances to reveal more understanding of the essence of faith, much like the lessons we find in the Bible. Personally, my time in Mexico has been nothing short of awe-inspiring, nurturing, and instrumental in maturing my faith to simply BELIEVE and TRUST GOD.
One of the greatest blessings of my time here has been the opportunity to engage in weekly one-on-one fellowship and Bible studies with individuals. These times together have been a source of encouragement, as we delve into the Word of God together. It's remarkable how the Scriptures not only deepen our understanding of God but also enrich the friendships God brings into our lives. For which I am grateful.
My second joy stems from the privilege of spreading the gospel among many Mexicans, whether it’s on the streets, in parks, or within the comfort of their homes. Similar to the United States, Mexico is experiencing a surge in immigration, and I have had opportunities to share the gospel with migrants from Haiti and Colombia. Our world is in chaos and masses of people are migrating in search for a better life. I consistently tell immigrants that the better life is found only in Jesus Christ. They always ask, "How?" So, I joyfully explain the answer!
Just last week, I was ministering on the streets in our city's "red light" district. Amidst the needy drug addicts, prostitutes, the homeless, and gang members, I pass out fruit. The simple gesture of offering a banana to one prostitute unexpectedly drew the attention of others, and quickly I found myself joined with an audience of five prostitutes. As I shared the fruit, I spoke to them about the abundant love of Jesus Christ for them. I explained that Jesus is my best friend as well as my deepest love in all my life. Their attentiveness was such a blessing, and though I rejoice in their willingness to listen, at the same time, my heart weeps for them. These souls—the prostitutes, addicts, homeless, immigrants, and gang members—are often overlooked and forgotten, not just here in Mexico but throughout Latin America. They desperately need Christians to call out to God in prayer for them. Would you please join me in praying for these souls?

Despite the inherent risks, I find peace in the sovereignty of God—His ultimate control over all circumstances, whether good or bad. A couple of weeks ago, two men encountered me on the streets with ill intentions. All I could do was persistently preach Christ unto them without shutting up. God eventually turned their hearts and they left me alone. Then a few days ago, however, a thief smashed the window of a pastor’s car and stole about $300 worth of my possessions. Despite this loss, we find reason to rejoice, knowing that physical harm was avoided.
We have been praying for the thief(s), asking God for the salvation of their soul(s). Wouldn't it be remarkable if they were to read the gospel tracts found in my bookbag, surrender to the Holy Ghost’s conviction and come to church? Perhaps this could be God's invitation, luring someone from a destructive path to become a future preacher for Jesus Christ. It's my earnest hope, and I ask you to join us in prayer for whoever stole my belongings, for ultimately, their redemption is what truly matters.
