I hear your words, dear one,
And the urgency you express.
But must death or tragedy come,
Before you change and confess?
Must you wait for the unthinkable,
To shake you from your complacency?
Or can you heed the voice of wisdom,
And turn from your own fallacy?
Rebelling against the Lord,
Can lead you down a darkened road.
But altering your actions in time,
Can lighten your heavy load.
So do not wait for disaster,
To prompt a change of heart.
But choose to follow God and grace,
And from your sins, depart.
For life is short and fragile,
And tomorrow is not guaranteed.
May you choose the path of wisdom,
And follow where the Lord leads.
