Beneath the earth's surface, I did descend
Inside the depths of the earth I carefully wend
To explore a cave where darkness never ends
And all around me, only blackness extends
A darkness so deep, it invoked thoughts of Hell
The realm of despair without ever any light
I felt the weight of that pitch-black veil,
So dense and heavy it consumed my sight.
And in that void, where nothing could be seen,
I heard the whispers of those forever condemned.
Lost to the darkness, forever unseen,
Their souls in torment endlessly demeaned.
To know the depths of Hell's eternal night,
One need only brave the cavern's eerie gloom.
But why would one take such a perilous flight,
To feel the fear of a dreaded doom?
For in the cavern's depths, we may really see
The stark reality of a sinner’s forever fate.
Without the Savior, we'd surely be
Condemned to darkness in Hell's fiery gate.
May caverns be a warning for you to seek the Light,
To embrace the truth of Christ's redeeming grace.
For only in Him can you find your sight,
And escape the darkness of Hell's dreadful place.
