All my life, I’ve sensed I’m out of place
Like an outcast, in no way fully embraced
Never part of a circle, or belonging to a mold
A lonely feeling that never seems to grow old
Though friendly faces surround me, few remain close
I’m a specter, half in, half out, like a lonely ghost
On the outside of friendships, desiring to look in
Longing for acceptance, to feel welcomed within
But then a light shone, a splendid way appeared
A calling from God, my destiny was clear
To work with those whom society shuns
To offer hope, to mend what's come undone
My road has not been easy, the journey’s been tough
But with each step, I’ve felt God's close love
He opened great doors, and paved the way
For me to reach out, and not be afraid
Now I stand, amidst life’s tempestuous seas
With those who are lost, hurt and in need
I offer a hand, a listening ear to hear
And share the message of Christ, so precious and dear
So I stand with outcasts, my heart aglow with love
Offering hope, and His message from above
That in Christ, they are cherished and accepted
And their lives can be wholly resurrected.
For God has called me to this noble task
To be a beacon in a world so dark and vast
To show the outcasts they are not alone
In Christ Jesus, they can have a loving home.
For outcasts, often they’re left behind and forgotten
Neglected souls with peace so seldom gotten
Yet they are human, just like you and me
With hearts that long to be set forever free
We must not forget those cast out and ignored
For they too have stories waiting to be adored
They deserve to be seen, and heard, and known
And find a loving place they can finally call their own
For in God's eyes, we are all the same
No one is forgotten, or without a name
So let us extend love to those in need
And help them find their way to succeed.
