Wait on the Lord
I cry out to the Lord
I wonder when He shall reply
All I hear from God is to wait
And wait, and wait some more, I try
"My child," He whispers, "Wait on the Lord.”
For waiting is not a waste of time
It's in the waiting that you'll see
God’s plans unfold, and purpose align
So wait on the Lord and be still
Trust in His wisdom, He'll guide your way
In quietness and peace, you'll learn to fill
Your heart with patience day by day
As you wait upon the Lord, you'll find
His ways are higher than your own
In His perfect timing, you'll unwind
And understand the seeds He's sown
So wait on the Lord, and trust His hand
In waiting, you'll draw closer to Him
And find strength in His sovereign nature.
