Without God

WITHOUT GOD
 
Without God, your life is vain and hollow,
No eternal purpose or meaning to follow,
Lost in the darkness, enslaved to sin,
No hope of ever finding peace within.
 
Without God, you're left in constant strife,
No grace to mend the wounds in your life,
Sin not atoned, you are always unclean,
No one to wash away the stains unseen.
 
Without God, you have no guiding light,
No compass to show what is right,
You hold no wisdom to guide a new start,
No favor to help impart a lasting mark.
 
Without God, you’re a ship adrift,
Tossed and turned by every shift,
No anchor to hold you steady in life’s quest,            
No safe harbor to give you needed rest.                    
 
Without God, your life is a futile game,
A fleeting moment with no aim,
No promises to believe and hold.
But only a dark future is foretold.
